Mine on OCEAN over Stratum V2
A test endpoint: a DATUM Gateway with a Stratum V2 server, pooled to OCEAN. Each miner is paid to the Bitcoin address it connects with.
Test phase. The endpoint is open to anyone while it is tested, and may go down or change without notice. It is not run by OCEAN.
Connect
- Host
mineonsv2.hedwig.sh- Port
3336- Protocol
- Stratum V2, extended or standard channels
- Authority key
9au6wSs6v5TE3gK4eaoCYoa1rLyGF5vCkKv2qQzvk8ih5nhVerj- Username
- your Bitcoin address, optionally followed by
.workername
On a Bitaxe (AxeOS with Stratum V2): set the pool to the host and port above, the protocol to SV2, and paste the authority key in the SV2 authority field, so the miner checks it is talking to this gateway and nobody in between.
What it is
- Your miner's connection is encrypted and authenticated (Stratum V2's Noise handshake) all the way to the gateway. The relay in front of it only carries encrypted bytes.
- The gateway builds jobs from its own Bitcoin node and OCEAN's payouts, and sends your shares to OCEAN under your address, as a DATUM Gateway does for its own miners.
- The server here does not hold the authority key's secret: it serves a short-lived certificate the authority signed elsewhere.
What to check
The gateway's operator necessarily sees your shares, as any pool endpoint does. Look up your address on OCEAN's dashboard and check that it is credited with the hashrate your miner reports.
